JMS Interiors is a design firm dedicated to understanding each client’s needs and developing a creative and realistic approach to meeting those expectations. The staff is committed to designing elegant, stylish, and functional spaces.
They listen carefully, provide professional guidance, and have the talent, experience, and sources to create great results.
JMS Interiors was launched in 1985 by Sheila G. Levin and has completed projects from coast to coast throughout the U.S. and Canada. Loving and appreciating the arts, having an artistic, theatrical and musical background along with the opportunity to work in the field with many dedicated professionals, spawned an opportunity to use talent and experience in a special way.
Translating a client’s dreams into reality is the goal of every project. JMS Interiors is passionate about creating personalized spaces based on client’s wishes and respect for budget and lifestyle.
Three key elements contribute to successful projects:
• Listening
• Observing
• AdvocatingThese elements help clients find what they want, visualize the possibilities, and
efficiently coordinate the designs. There is uncompromising dedication to beautiful interior finishes and carefully chosen products – from floor to ceiling, including area rugs, window treatments, custom furniture, art and accessories – to create comfortable, functional spaces which reflect the personality and lifestyle of the homeowner.
The ultimate goal is to have owners feel that the outcome is above and beyond their expectations! JMS creates space plans that “work”, colors that “speak” to those who live or work there, and furnishings that “live” well.

“I would like to take this opportunity to wholeheartedly recommend JMS Interiors for any of your upcoming projects. Sheila Levin was our second experience using a design service and we were so completely satisfied with her work in 2006 that we hired her again for our La Jolla project in 2008.
She has great style, knows how to listen to clients and absolutely knows how to stay on budget! She is also very punctual and extremely organized. This was important to us since we had experienced the total opposite with another design firm. Sheila’s extraordinary design sense and good taste is the reason we will hire her again when our next project begins.”
R and R Ayala - La Jolla, CA
“We met Sheila after we had the terrible misfortune of a house fire with a great deal of smoke damage. Sheila came, recommended by our friend and her former client, to our rescue the very day we made phone contact. We had a great meeting which resulted in a plan of attack, and a comforting feeling that we were in very competent hands.
Needless to say, Sheila’s high professionalism, honest work ethics, and unique design talents guided us through a very difficult time. We absolutely love her work and the way she helped return our house to our home again. We cannot say enough about her abilities. We highly recommend Sheila and her decorative services.”

“When my husband and I purchased a new vacation home, we knew that renovating the kitchen and baths were a must, but became more and more confused with all the possibilities. Sheila came in and helped us take control – actually reigned us in – so that we were able to have the spa-like master bath we always dreamed of and a kitchen that turned out fabulous and works perfectly for our family. Sheila not only brought her creativity and new ideas, but helped bring our personality home
Her guidance and expertise made a daunting task fun. She honored our budget and far exceeded our expectations.”
Paula and John Rose - Boca Raton, FL
“I am writing this to acknowledge the outstanding work by Sheila Levin and JMS Interiors.
Sheila’s experience, professionalism and hard work were major factors in the successful move from a 2400 sq. ft. 50 year old mid-century home to a new 1200 sq. ft. 15th floor apartment in a retirement complex. Her planning, design skills, and “hands on” attitude enabled her to work with suppliers and especially within the special requirements of the staff for the new location.
I highly recommend Sheila and JMS Interiors for any project that requires thoughtful solutions to any interior design project.”
W.K. Alexander - La Jolla, CA
“From the very start of the interior remodel process, your choice of furnishings, be it furniture, window dressings, window coverings, carpets, etc. were everything we could have ever envisioned. After asking us about what we wanted from our new living space, you researched and presented various options from which to choose. Your knowledge with color combinations, room sizes, and room designs worked perfectly for us and made our choice quite easy.
Everyone who has visited us cannot believe how beautiful our new home looks! And because of your experience and many contacts, everything arrived on time.
Thank you again for your perseverance in helping us design and finish our new surroundings.”
L and B Gilbert - Toronto, Canada
“As the Director of Professional Education at Philadelphia University, I have had the pleasure of working with Sheila who has been a part-time instructor for approximately seven years. In my opinion, she has always represented Philadelphia University in the most positive fashion. Not only has Sheila taught our “How to Accessorize a Room” workshop, but she has taught a twelve week course entitled “Introduction to Textiles and Materials”, and has acted as our faculty liaison for off-campus personal enrichment trips and seminars. Her knowledge of interior decorating is tremendous and her ability to impart this knowledge to our students has been invaluable.
Sheila has always received positive reviews from her students. She served as a mentor to many of our adult students seeking a new career in interior decorating, and would often graciously keep in contact with those who had questions after her course ended. Regular course evaluations include comments such as: “Course was above my expectations,” “Sheila’s enthusiasm for interior decorating has inspired all of us,” Sheila is very resourceful and truly cares about her students,” and Sheila is very positive and supportive and provides a comfortable atmosphere for one’s creativity to grow.” Needless to say Philadelphia University’s program has prospered greatly due to her contributions, and her presence in the classroom will be missed.
In my opinion, Sheila Levin is a remarkable instructor and individual. She will certainly add dimension, value, skill, and dedication to make many more contributions to the field of interior design and education.
